I turned 25 this weekend. The Birthday Art Auction was a success! Between Drew and me, we sold 14 paintings total! To those who attended, I can't thank you enough - I had an amazing birthday. The reason why I love February / Birth Month so much is because of my friends. The moment they all sang Happy Birthday I felt so so fortunate to have such great people in my life sharing my special night with me. The down side to this is that now my etsy site is completely empty.

I know I haven't been updating lately - mostly because of the Art Auction - but also as you may have heard by now, our beloved family pet Alto passed away last Wednesday at the age of 16. He brought such joy to our house, and we were all so lucky to have him as part of our family. I miss him immensely, and it'll take some time to get used to the fact that he is no longer with us. RIP.

Anyway, I'll start updating again soon (grumble grumble). I sort of left with a wedding dress cliff hanger, didn't I? Oh well. Stay tuned.

Happy New Year to all! 2010 was pretty great, but I know 2011 is going to be even greater (and busier).

A couple of New Years resolutions -

-cook more often, eat healthier! (wedding diet started TODAY)
-declutter... my life. organize the apartment AND my computer.
-run a 5k! I can't run 3 miles yet...
-keep on blogging / painting. which leads to my final (actual) resolution for this year:

-work on our children's book.

Jesse, Drew and I have been talking about working on a children's book for a while now. Jesse and Drew have stories written - I need to start illustrating. Hopefully one day we can get them printed and I can post them on the etsy site :)

September was an insane month at work. I worked (no joke) for three weeks straight (including weekends), overtime - towards the end of the month I was working 8am - 11pm every day, and then night before deadline working until 1230. I felt like I was in architecture school all over again, except minus my friends plus crazy design architect who keeps on changing his mind. Fortunately I survived (although I felt pretty burnt out) and I've been slowly catching up with life outside work. SORRY I HAVENT BEEN BLOGGING BUT I PROMISE I'LL UPDATE SOON, I'M ALSO PAINTING LOTS SO I CAN UPDATE ETSY TOO, AND GOSH DARN IT MICHIGAN WHERE IS YOUR DEFENSE
